Description: |
Helping Hands of BridgePoint
Purpose – To offer assistance to members of BridgePoint Bible Church who do not have the wherewithal to do for themselves. The assistance will be performed by a team of Helping Hand on Saturdays, preferably in the morning.
Eligible – the elderly who are immobile or unable to perform laborious tasks, the handicapped, widows with no income, divorced women with minor children. The decision of eligibility will be established by a board of two Helping Hands members and the membership pastor.
Monetary Responsibility – It will be the responsibility of the person, for which the assistance is being rendered, to pay for all material and/or supplies necessary to accomplish the task to be performed. Helping Hands will provide the labor at no charge.
Types of assistance – Carpentry work and minor home repairs that do not involve official permits, small repair projects such as replacing window panes, minor painting projects, small yard work projects, oil changes, minor auto repairs that do not involve diagnostic equipment.
