Event Date:
11/01/2017
Event Time:
9:30 am to 12:00 pm
Event Description:
As many of you know, Hurricane Harvey caused our campus to flood. The campus will remain closed until it is fully rebuilt and restored. During this transitional time, Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church has graciously opened their doors to our MOPS program. Details are below...

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. We also believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That's why we meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. We rally together to be more honest, to feel more equipped, and to find our identity in Christ by journeying alongside one another. This year at MOPS, in light of all of the impact that Hurricane Harvey has on our community, we really want to focus on creating a therapeutic, relational environment for our moms. We want to provide rest, fellowship, and a tiny pocket of normalcy for moms and kiddos.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. Join us as we meet twice a month on Wednesdays to build friendships, hear from speakers, enjoy creative activities and serve our community through service projects.  We also offer a Bible study with childcare that meets on our off Wednesdays.

MOPS Meetings Fall Dates: 10/4, 10/25, 11/8, 11/29, 12/13
Spring Dates: 1/10, 1/24, 2/14, 2/28, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9

Because we hold fast to the knowledge that God loves the fragrant offering of our prayers, we set aside time each week to gather together for just that purpose.  BridgePoint Women has a designated time of prayer on Sunday mornings.

Sunday mornings from 8:00-9:15 am in the Conference Room (B201)
Believing that we should "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests," we are women who gather to pray for our sisters in Christ who are in leadership/ministry at BridgePoint. This prayer time is open to any woman desiring to pray for our women in leadership.  Using scripture, we pray for different groups on alternating Sundays, including Pastors' wives, staff, Women's Ministry teams, ministry partners, and others. Questions? Contact Linda Voges.

*As many of you know, Hurricane Harvey has created high water situations in and around BridgePoint, causing our campus to flood. The campus will remain closed until it is safe to return. We will continue to post updates regarding future plans as soon as we have them. Please watch for updates regarding when and where we will hold our next worship service. Please also join us in praying for our city!

This Fall BridgePoint Women will kick off two new options for women to gather together, build relationships and grow spiritually. We are offering both Wednesday evening and Tuesday morning Bible study options.

TUESDAY MORNING
Beginning September 5  |  10 am - 12 pm
All women are welcome to join us Tuesday mornings for small group Bible studies. This fall you may choose between a study of the Gospel of Mark, and a video based study called: Twelve Women of the Bible: Life Changing Stories for Women Today. You may register and buy books at the Women's Ministry table in the Concourse. Cost is $10. Questions: contact Cleo Papa. *No childcare is available unless your children are enrolled in our BridgePoint Early Learning Academy.

WEDNESDAY EVENING
"Planted by Streams: A Survey of the Great Story of God’s Love"  |  Beginning September 6  |  7-8:30 pm  |  Led by Tamara Gordon
Have you ever noticed how often the Bible speaks of trees? God’s Great Story begins and end with trees and finds its climax at a tree where our Savior died. The more you look, the more you will find that the grand story of God’s glory is planted in and out of an orchard of tree references and metaphors. Join us this fall as we survey the Great Story of God’s Love from Old Testament through New Testament use of Bible trees as our landmarks. You’ll enjoy rich study, interactive discussion, and small group prayer and fellowship with the women of BridgePoint on Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:30 PM, beginning September 6 and going through December 6. Childcare is available for babies and preschoolers.

Kindergarteners and up will be enrolled in our midweek programs at the church. Registration and book fee is $5. We invite you to come and bring a friend to explore God’s plan for flourishing and planting you by streams of water.
