BridgePoint Men

Man.  The word itself carries many diverse connotations in our American society. All of us, men and women, young and old, have ideas in our minds and hearts that have been forged through a lifetime of experiences and various perspectives. Some who have been hurt by men may view the word (and the people) with skepticism or fear. Some say men are to be aggressive and callous. Some say men should be more like women. Of course, there are always the iconic male images of James Dean (loner, rebel) and John Wayne (rugged, hard as nails and a good shot).

But, in the midst of all the conflicting ideas… What does God say a man is? And why does His opinion matter?  The Bible explains that God made Man in His image (Genesis 1 & 2) and that only through Jesus can we have Real LIFE. Not just life after death but ABUNDANT Life here and now.  But, this raises questions like…

- What does it mean to have abundant life as a
man and how can I experience that life?
- Why do so few men live out this true manhood?
- How do I navigate through the minefield of potentially
  destructive perspectives and behaviors?

At BridgePoint we believe that the questions of manhood are best answered by pursuing Jesus.  In pursuing Him, we enter the process of becoming our truest and best selves as men and move towards being...  sons, fathers and brothers who bless our families, husbands who love and sacrifice with abandon, employees and neighbors shining the light of truth and grace into a hurting world children of God reflecting the greatness of God men we never dreamed we could be.

Will you join us in the pursuit?    Will you join us in the process?
